Abs sensor/speedo
« on: 03 October 2011, 20:19:40 »

Hi, is there a particular sensor that gives the speedo its reading or is it an average of all of them. Also which one would it be?

As long as one of more ABS sensors are working the ABS ECU should produce a speed signal. If there is no signal it's normally down to failure of the ECU (but worth checking it for fault codes).

Are the ABS and TC warning lights on?

no the abs and tc light isnt on. just the abs kicks in early sometimes and the speedo has been hesitant on occasion. Did check the ECU for fault codes with the "My Naff Code Reader", but no faults stored. Was just wondering if it maybe an abs sensor on its way out. Just not bad enough to throw a code.
