Slight coolant loss
« on: 05 October 2011, 13:55:01 »

As above - some guys had a look at the recent oxford meet and there was no leak spotted. There was one jubillee style clip that TB said looked slighty out of place, which i have repositioned but i noticed when i started the car this lunchtime that some coolant had gone onto the floor. This could only have happened when i turned the engine off at 9am or when i restarted at 12:15 but for the life of me i can't see where it has come from.

Anyone have any pointers please?

Mine was leaking from the water pump area. It turned out to be the oil cooler plate was leaking and the coolant was running down the valley and then onto the fron of the engine. I would suggest whipping the plenum (and probably manifold)off to have a look and all will probably be revealed. :y

That sounds like its beyond my capabilities. If i took the 2 big airpipes off at the front of the plenum and shined a torch would this give me the same view.
