Rip Mr Jobs, let's hope they burry the flash ban with him.

But what was it you said about people wanting things that work? ::)

I reckon he did well to survive pancreatic cancer that long. Announced in 2004. 56 is no age to die, though. :(
...yes any flash based web site working would be nice. Or the complete Internet, instead of 2/3rds of it. :(

I almost agree with the policy though, they are trying to push HTML5 which will leave it up to the device/browser to render, not rely on Adobe.

iPad it would be useful, given its target market. But have to remember Flash is generally very data hungry, just take a look at that link millwall posted a while ago, took fair bit of time to load even on a decent internet connection.

Unless your on very strong 3G signal or WiFi you going to struggle to use flash content on a phone

A greater loss (IMHO) to the world of Computer Science; Dennis Ritchie died yesterday, co-inventor of the C programming language (alongside Brian Kernighan) and one of the central figures in the creation of Unix: http://boingboing.net/2011/10/12/dennis-ritchie-1941-2011-computer-scientist-unix-co-creator-c-co-inventor.html

No idea, but I've written a few 100,000 of them. I remember using the Kernighan and Richie reference book on C programming to learn the language.

Apple Mac is about 5% of PC market, but they reckon that with the iPad this will increase to 12% this year. Microsoft's market share is being steadily eroded where tablet computers and smart phones are gaining market share.
