Wöyy guys,
where can I find the auxiliary waterpump in my car? Where it is in my mate's MV6 I couldn't find in mine! Instead I found there the evaporator of LPG set. Or there isn't one in 2.5 ?

My 1994 2.5 v6 had a water pump on the end of the radiator to help circulation around the radiator.

My 2003 2.6 v6 has one on the end of the radiator and another down near the alternator that assists heat flow round the climate control / cabin heater. I think the second pump became standard in 2000?

The second pump does keep the heat flowing when the car is stationary but is not essential. Quite common I believe for the pump to be removed and the LPG evaporator to be put in its place.

I have a 2.5 v6 with lpg and mine still has the aux pump down by the altenator, i have an mv6 aswell and the pump is in the same place on that. I have replaced the one on the 2.5 but when visiting scrap yards to source a replacement i found that they are not fitted on all cars.

Can't comment about DPW cars, but I haven't seen a V6 which has cruise control and this pump fitted unless its been fitted afterwards. This is as the cruise unit sits in the same place as the secondary pump.

Thing is that I added cruise to one of my cars and managed to get the cruise and pump in happily together.

i found that they are not fitted on all cars.

I guess depend on what year it's made. Mine 95 reg pre-facelift, conceivable that they haven't got  yet...I could use some exact info about that. Should I fit or not to worry?
