I had to have my N/S one welded the other day before an MOT (2.6)  :(

Is it weldable then? Would that save me the money of buying another one?

My worry is - why is it blowing..... I've never seen it before! Blockage? Impact/underside damage?

I would have thought that welding could damage the internals. :-\

If it's the pre-cat they are probably shot anyway, and won't affect MOT emissions. ;)

I wouldn't quite go that far - they'd obviously kissed the tarmac a few times, for obvious reasons - but in perfectly good nick :y

Actually, to be perfectly honest, your 3.2 is probably the tidiest I have ever seen from a corrosion point of view - a few hours of polish, it'll be a belter from the outside :y. Such a shame doorcards aren't available new, as they have the usual wear on both driver and passenger side  :'(

Was referring to pre-cats they looked like new, no damage to speak of. Main cats had been filed down though.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting that on the road. Think it will be a nice example, looking forward to giving it a good wash, that bodywork will come up well I think.

Yeah I noticed the wear on the door handle too  :(

Thats about the only part that looks worn though!  :)

Dont often come across facelift doorcards which havent got wear & tear tbh. They are a sh1te design imo.

I now prefer the look of the facelift interior tbh.Its more airy, modern, less fussy. The earlier interiours look like the inside of a 1970,s gentlemans club imo, lots of puffy leather and fake walnut etc. :)
The quality of some of the components in the facelift interior is shocking though. The hideous soft touch rubber,is virtually water soluble. ::)

What's wrong with the interior of a 1970s gentlemans club?  ;D
