Will they fit?
« on: 14 October 2011, 16:24:11 »

Hi all,

My wife has just been given a Vx Zafira 1.8. It has 195/65/15 Tyres on alloys.

Would/can you fit omega alloys to it instead, ie  225/45/17 or even down to the 16" omega alloys?

TIA  :y

I'd imagine the offset might be different, but don't know by any means...

Dave,

The VXR Zafira came with 18-inch five-spoke alloy 8Jx18, 225/40 R18 tyres with the option of
19-inch alloys with 235/35 ZR19 tyres.

Personally on our British roads, I wouldn't go above 18's on a Zafira.  But that's just my opinion  ::)

Forgot to say.....

I think I'm correct in thinking that the Omega and Zafira both have an offset of 35-45mm.
I'm sure some can confirm or say otherwise?

Hope that helps?  :y

Isn't Zaffy a 4 bolt design? Pretty sure Zaffy-A is, anyway...

Cheers for all the replies guys, looking good then  :)

Gooseman, I wouldn't go bigger than 17" anyway, I couldn't afford it for a start, lol and TB, I looked at the car yesterday (its at my father in laws place) and they are 5 stud.

I'm asking as the 15" alloys look tiny on this and thought about omega wheels for it  ::)

Just need to find an omega with no locking nuts nearby and "aquire" a set, lol  (ps I am only joking)!!   :y

remember that the rolling diameter needs to stay the same, as well as offset and pcd

Cheers for the heads up on that TB.  How would I know if the rolling road diameter is different?  Is is a simple case of measuring the diameter of the current wheels and then the new ones?  Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question, but offsets etc on wheels is total bam boozle for me, lol  ::)
