2.2 Petrol ECU's
« on: 17 October 2011, 18:50:20 »

Below are pictures of the main ECU's from two 2001 2.2 Petrol Autos...

Although the two-letter code and part numbers are the same, some of the other codes are different,

Could someone please tell me whether these 2 ECU's are interchangeable please?

Also is there anything else other than the immobiliser ring and key transponders that need to be changed over as well (key remotes and alarm ecu perhaps)???

TIA  :y

ECU failure is always misdiagnosed, so its a mute point ;)

I would have been interested to know if the pedal trick worked on either of those....cos it is rumoured to work on the occasional 2.2

I would say that the 08 and 09 numbers on each one is the software version and the lower number (and barcode) that is completely different is a serial number.

Cheers guys, so it looks like they can be swapped over then?

Can you just confirm what else needs to be transferred please?  :y
