Hi Could anyone give me a guesstimate of how much it would cost to have the head gaskets replaced on my 2000 2.5 v6 facelift please Cheers

Depends if your asking about parts only or parts plus labour. What makes you think the gaskets need replacing ?

The oil level warning came on today, So I add some and when i took the cap off the cap and filler tube had mayo on them so i assumed it was probably the gaskets

Doesn't sound like V6 head gasket fault to me ;)

Mayo on cap is common this time of year if:

1) you do lots of short journeys
or
2) you use shite oil, such as Castrol

I assume youve checked the oil level ? Is the oil old, covered a lot of miles ?
As said - mayo on oil filler is an engine characteristic and nothing to get worked up about. ;)

Get the breathers cleaned or you will soon be replacing the gaskets again.Use GM 10/40 OIL. Change every 5000 miles max. :y

And use genuine GM gaskets, else your mechanic will be trying to convince you that the cam covers are warped ;D

And make sure he knows that tightening the camcover bolts must only be tightened to 8nm - which isnt that much more than finger tight. :y

Remove the filler neck. No more mayo.... :y. Best to save it and only use it when filling with fresh oil....(you'll spill less)... :y :y
