Diesel bleed off pipe

Help please
where does the bleed off pipe go to off no1 injector I have replaced back to front as a couple were weeping only to find the long one off no1 is not attached to anything :'(

should be connected to the pump iirc,well it was on zafira dti :y

I have a spare pump for reference and cannot see where it would connect it's the 2.5 bmw lump :-\

Sh*t I need to sort today as the car is being used by my son to drive 100 miles one way tomorrow to as show and he can't get all his gear  in his MIcra  ;D

The long pipe has to return to the pump somewhere ;)

I wish it was possible to get a diagram of the pipework to from the fuel pump and the plenum chamber for this unit as it's like the blindleading the blind 8)

I have same engine mate not a mec  but mine has an inline fuel filter thing with a bit more pipe on top just clipped on wheel arch to back of battery if this is the correct pipe of. Course  :y

I am no mechanic either if this is right it may explain one of my problems regarding fuel smell

It is the same if u need to I can pm u my num try and talk through what I see to compare to yours if it helps unless sum1 here can advise u better lol neither mec could be like the blind leading the blind  ;D

That second pic looks like there's a vacuum pipe missing from the rubber pipe at the top :-\ But I don't know the oil burner that well so could be wrong ::)

I must say I've never noticed fuel smell only smell really I had I put down to little oil spill when topping Oil up :)
