Citroen DS3 - had one for 3 days
« on: 19 October 2011, 17:45:29 »

This is a followup to DLKs recent post about liking the DS3.

I've just had one for 3 days as a courtesy car whilst my C5 was being sorted.

Overall I enjoyed it. It was a 1.6 VVT petrol model. Drove well but you really had to rev it to make it go. Very little torque. Felt very solid and well made.  :y

I did 200 miles in it and used £35 of fuel.  :-\

The only negatives were that it was noisy compared to the Omega and C5 - it's defo a town/runaround car, and also that there is nowhere to comfortably rest your left foot.

There you go, that's my mini review.

Indeed, with dealerships that make Vx look good. It's taken 5 visits to sort a problem on the sat nav on the C5. The car is (just) still under warranty - but I'd hate to be the 2nd or 3rd owner when somnething goes wrong in a few years time  :'(

I suppose not, but my daily drive Diesel C5 gets 50+ mpg when driven the same way.

I have not driven one yet but do intend too.

I do also like the 206, I have had a couple of GTi's which go quite well but the 2.0 HDi was brilliant on fuel.

If wanting a small car I would have another without a seconds thought.

I was diappointed with 206GTi, guess I was spoilt by the nutty 205GTi 1.9  :-\

Aye. Those were the days. FWD, chuckable oversteer has never quite been replicated in the same way. Shame, but it's saved a few skid marks (and not just the ones on the road). ::)
