Dti power surges
« on: 27 October 2011, 11:27:00 »

Hi guys. I have an omega elite 2.2 dti manual. Prob is the Power comes in surges as if I'm Dabbing the throttle. The turbo whistles so as the power with my foot down comes on and off so does the whistle. No codes stored only one for glow plugs/relay. Serviced recently and a 600 mile round trip to Wales with two stroke in the tank has it runnin smoth. Just this boost problem. Hope some one can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Check also and clean the MAP sensor (boost pressure sensor) as this is known to cause surging when gummed up.

Thanks mate I'll get that looked at. I cleaned egr myself what a mess. I was thinking actuator problems but this car is full of sensors. Cheers.
