Climate Control not working
« on: 29 October 2011, 17:55:53 »

So the climate control was working but all the lights were blown.  I followed the guide on this site to replace the lights, tried to turn it on and nothing happened.  I think I plugged it back in and I have checked the fuses, have I missed anything silly that I need to do to get it to turn on?

Yes, as in I think I checked the obvious things, and wondered if there was something less obvious that I had missed...

So I have taken it apart again, it it is defiantly plugged it and still not working.  I assume I have broken it somehow.  Is the unit able to be unscrewed and replaced by another one, and if so does anyone have one for sale (preferably with all the lights working)?

I also seem to have broken my hazard warning switch, so if you have one of those as well I need that too...

I had a look at the fuse and it looked intact.  I have driven the car and the power steering is still working, I believe that it is on the same fuse.  I have checked and rechecked the plug and it is as pushed in as I can get it, and the catch is pushed in as well.   :'(

Is there a difference between the pre-facelift and mini-facelift hazard warning light switches?  I have discovered that without the hazard light switch in the indicators don't work.  Which is a shame...
