Miss Vamps won first prize for hers at a Halloween party at the Caravan site (Static) yesterday, not sure I have a decent photo as forgot my camera and phone abit naf as a camera..... :D :D :D

We couldn`t get pumpkins when I was a tiddler, our house had to make do with carving out a turnip; I can still remember the scent of the hot turnip with a night-light candle inside it! ;)

Same here Deb's,  :y have you seen the size of turnips now, hardly bigger than an orange,  ::) ::) what happened to the big ones we used to use?

You can find some giant turnips in Westminster.

I thought this whole pumpkin carving thing was another imported American 'tradition', anyway? That and going out begging for candy sweets.. (Or, where I used to live, just money.. that's all the kids wanted - cash, £5 or more, each!)

We don't allow the boys to go trick or treating but see no harm in an in house pumpkin carving competition!
