It isn't the HBV. Help what can it be?
« on: 03 November 2011, 15:23:55 »

Just changed the HBV. Started up and ran up to temp and revved in stages as the garage did this morning and water spurting out of the back of the engine in front of the HBV. It isn't the HBV. The nearest thing I can identify even with the scuttle and wiper mech removed is a blue and red electrical plug. There are two 1/4 inch rubber pipes near and at least one of those goes to back of plenum.

oil cooler?

Any ideas please?

mmm I think it is a leak in the pipe from the engine to the HBV.

Now if I can just get it off!

Result

I found another pipe same length and same diameters each end. Fitted that with some difficulty.

No leak.

I would now recommend that anyone changing the HBV changes that pipe too while they are in there. It is the one from the HBV to the block and temp sensor.
