Guess who is still trying to cancel his order? That's right, this guy!
Here's how the call went today:
Me: "I'd like to cancel this order, it's been a month now, a month of broken promises and failures to deliver"
Her: "Well you see the wheels and tyres go to our warehouse and get fitted and then shipped out."
"Yes, but you said they would be shipped out last week, and here we are.. it's Wednesday and there's no sign of them"
"Well you will be notified when they ship"
"It's been a month now. Cancel my order."
"I will have to email the warehouse and ask them if they can do that. You will hear back within 24 hours"
"You said that last time and nobody got back to me, can you not call them now? And there is no 'if' you will cancel this order - you will cancel this order per the distance selling regulations in the UK."
"I will have to email the warehouse"
"So you don't have a telephone number for your own company?"
"No"
"Ok, can you give me the email address for the warehouse?"
"They only speak German"
"That's ok, I have people here who can translate me an email"
"Oh. I cannot. I will have to email them and you will hear back in 24 hours."
"Do you have a phone number for your German office?"
"It is on the web site"
"You can't give it to me?"
"No, I am not able to"
"So.. you are sitting there with no access to the internet, and no telephone?"
"I will have to email the warehouse."
"Look, you WILL cancel this order. There is no if, no doubt, you will cancel this order. If you do deliver the goods they will be returned to you and the credit card company will file a chargeback as you have failed to ship in a reasonable time.
"I will have to email the warehouse"
Quite simply the worst company I have ever, ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
(I paraphrase the conversation a little, but that's the basic thrust of it all.)
