Central locking playing up
« on: 05 November 2011, 02:29:57 »

Looking a bit off advice before i start buying parts.
The front drivers door wont lock or unlock on the central locking.
Passengers door only works sometimes when the mood takes it.
If i put the key in the door it will open the two rear doors and drivers door but not the passengers.

I've been told this might be motor is this correct?

My experiance of this problem was about the same as yours and was advised to check the door solinoid (sp). but before I got chance to change the drivers side one, I suffered a flat battery one morning. Changed the battery and I havent suffered this problem since.

Im sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon to help you out further  if you dont think this will cure your problem.

I've got a problem with one of the back doors, my problem is being caused by the wiring between the pillar and the door. If I wobble the wiring and operate the fob the door locks.
So it may be a wiring fault....... :(
