Sourcing recon calipers.
« on: 05 November 2011, 17:35:59 »

Following on from my caliper seal kit thread I now need to buy a pair of reconditioned rear calipers for my estate .
I've examined the originals and the pistons are too pitted to be used so after buying two kits and four pistons it just doesn't make economic sense to recon them.
I had the disappointing reply from the only E bayer listing recon calipers that he doesn't have any of the correct calipers in stock.
I got some  recon.prices locally and they came in at € 135 and € 305 ( £116 & £262 ) EACH  ;D
So I've googled until I'm sick of the internet but so far found nothing positive .
Anyone know where I could source a pair in the UK ?
The car failed it's NCT ( MOT) due to rear brake imbalance so I'm fairly anxious to get them and get them fitted.
Cheers :y

I do know that. I assume you know that vented discs "carry" different calipers to solids. If you had bothered to click the link prior to posting you would have noted that it was for calipers :-X ::)
