Why do they always happen when its bad weather... i got 1 on the way in work this morning at half 6.... fog and m54 dont mix i was crapping meself whilst i got it changed... ... also my space saver spare is a 16" where as my alloys are 17"s...is that not illegal??? i always thought your spare had to be the same size??? .... anyways how is everybody on here???

on my first omega it had 16 inch alloys and a 15 inch steel dont know if it had been swapped in the past or if they came like that.
ref the puncture you should have bought some of my product that i sell!!![in fact i was installing it in wolvehampton at the air force base last weekend]

Last year I had a puncture when we had all that heavy snow, was pitch black and my mitts were freezing.

Afaik all Omegas come with a 15" spare steelie,  it's pretty normal the mx5 comes with a space saver.  Should see the spare for a countach, it's hilarious!

Most spares are smaller than the actual alloys or wheels, mainly because they're only there to get you to a garage to get the original fixed. However a few of the higher end cars (big luxo barges), tend to come with a full size 5th alloy, although now run flat tyres are used on a lot of cars hardly any have a spare.

You will probably find that the tyre on the spacesaver is a higher profile therfore making the wheel and tyre combined the same size as your alloy set up

Try fitting the spacesaver on a TT convertible.

The job goes great until you go to put the original wheel in the boot.

It doesn't fit! The only place it can go is on the passenger seat.

Which makes me wonder why they bothered with the spare at all.

could be worse my mrs used to have a mazda rx8  in which i got a puncture after spending 20 mins looking for the spare i rang her to tell her she didnt have one  to which she told me it hasnt got one mazda kindly give you a can of that tyre seal which is stored under the passenger seat
