« on: 11 November 2011, 23:40:40 »

hi have started to get the sytems of a faulty battery ie occs slow turning of starter battery only 15months old but only 12month warranty so got batt drop tested appeared ok but still bought new one for £75 with 3yr warranty.after 3/4 days same fault returning occasionly ,alternator charging at 14volt at 2000rpm have taken live and earth leeds of starter  and cleaned ok for approx 1 day then system fault starts again no battery leads getting warm is this a sign that starter motor is on the way out  ps tried also to take starter motor of but could not get a socket or spanner on top bolt ? do you have to take engine mount off to get at top bolt this is a 02 2.6  cheers tony :'(
