I had my appendix out on my 18th birthday. It's an organ we no longer need but if it bursts you get peritonitis which is like a big spot bursting & throwing puss into your bloodstream resulting in your demise.
Cheer up, i'm still here!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-)

Just in case you weren't feeling too old today, this will certainly change things.
The people who are leaving school this
year were born in 1992....Shocked?

They are too young to remember the space shuttle blowing up.

Their lifetime has always included AIDS.

Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.

The CD was introduced the 3 years before they were born.

They have always had an answering machine.

They have always had Sky.

They cannot fathom not having a remote control.

Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.

They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.

They can't imagine what hard contact lenses are.

They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.

They do not care who shot J. R. and have no idea who J. R. even is.

They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Hi Debs,
Sorry if I am hijacking your thread but....... Anyone remember the Moody Blues, on the "Threshold of a dream"
Moody Blues In The Beginning lyrics

First Man: I think, I think I am, therefore I am, I think.
Establishment: Of course you are my bright little star,
                I've miles
                 And miles
                  Of files
Pretty files of your forefather's fruit
                                     and now to suit our
                                       great computer,
             You're magnetic ink.

First Man: I'm more than that, I know I am, at least, I think I must be.
Inner Man: There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
                Face piles
                 And piles
                 Of trials
               With smiles.
                    It riles them to believe
                           that you perceive
                          the web they weave
                   And keep on thinking free.

Moody Blues In The Beginning lyrics

I find it amazing that these guys thought of this way back in 1969, it seems so relevant today.

Rock On,

Ken

I think we owe a lot to the 'colour/clarity' enhancing effects of LSD in the music of that era.  :y

I`m sure we`d struggle to find a 60/70`s 'prog-rock' composition that wasn`t made without the assistance of hallucinogenics.  ;D

.....`always enjoyed the M.B`s.....`brill!  ;)
