Do I think they are innocent? No.

Do I think it was a racist murder? No.

Do I think they will get a fair trial? No.

Do I believe this is legitimate new evidence? No.

Do I think this is now a case of "the law" needing to be seen to bring them to justice and therefore everything that can be done will be done, whether legal, fair or not? Yes.

The whole thing is a farce, yesterday's witness; ''I heard no racial abuse but someone on the bus with me said it looked like they attacked them because they were black''  you couldnt make it up :-X

If it wasnt racist what was the motive ? :-\
At the end of the day,if they are guilty of the murder then hopefully they will pay the price and spend the rest of their days in a cell. ;)

True,although the fact that they have walked around free all these years and the fact that it is so high profile, might make this one a special case. ;)

I thought that originally  5 were tried for the murder, and all were acquitted so why are they bringing just these two back to court?
Can you be tried for the same offence twice, or is that old hat?

most of the locals round here know the reason  it wasnt racially motivated :-X  theres a lot of info that has been witheld  and no im not going to go into it all on a open forum  but lets just say opinions would change if and when the whole truth emerges :-X

it certainly WAS NOT RACIALY MOTIVATED(i wont say why it happened on a open forum either)...thing is why did they (lawerence and his mate) get off a bus 7 stops early (4 miles)..there is a lot not reported but one thing is for sure this person is not the straight 'A' student as his mother would have you belive :y

Doesnt mean he deserved to have a knife stuck in him and bleed to death though. Even if he had commited some heinous crime, we cant have gangs of blokes roaming the streets acting as judge,jury and (literally) executioners.

i agree mark and if more people knew the facts about steven and his mate  i think a lot of people would agree  they were not the budding archetects their families would like you to believe  they were the lowest form of scum
