As discussed previously, my mig welder is currently out of service as the nylon sheath inside the operating cable has a cut or similar in it and the feed wire continually jams at the same bit.

I removed it and nothing is obvious.  Also tried reassembly by swapping ends so wire feeds in opposite direction but again, no change.  Wire still jams so suspect an internal blockage.

Have tried to source replacement makers part but it is so old that I have failed and so, am no further forward.

My Q.  Is the vac pipe used in the mig sold by the foot/metre from the dealers or are pipes supplied as finished parts?  Looks approx same internal size (its for 0.8 wire but can change that if needed) and can jury rig fitment at the ends to make good.

Or anyone any other ideas/sources?

How about the sleeve from another torch assembly cut/made to fit?
Would your bro with the bodyshop not have an old one you could play with to see if it's possible?

As an afterthought I'm assuming it's a plastic tube similar to airline so maybe a trip to the local engineers merchants would yield something.

A section of self levelling air pipe from one of the breakers here That stuff is pretty resilient.

Buy some net curtain cord (the stuff with the metal spring inside).

Its cheap and the metal spring inner is both tougher and more flexible.

This what I have in my MIG plus two others I use (one of which has probably delivered 50Kg of wire since fitting with no problems)

If it's a hobbymig, then the plastic torch liner is usually available cheaply. It needs to be, as it wears out quickly. Try Machine Mart; I'm sure I've seen it in there.

If it uses a Euro torch, then it's probably time to get a new one.

Never thought of the net curtain cord Mark. Good shout.

Will pop out to the Disco in a bit and retrieve the knacked liner from the footwell and compare to some vac pipe I have. Is the self levelling pipe and the multiram pipe the same spec or is there a difference?  Also, what's the longest unjointed run of pipe from compressor to rear shockers?

Pretty sure its much the same but, I would not fit a plastic liner in a mig tbh.

It's an old device (prob 20 to 25 years or more) and the nylon/plastic sheath for the feed wire is how it left the Cebora factory after viewing the importers PDF parts diags!

Like the curtain cord tip though......

Just checked and the outside dia of the vac pipe to multirams is the same. My kit has a shaped brass feeder device that screws onto the end of the hose so would have to fabricate an alternate if the curtain wire is used.

Alternately, 2.5 metres of air susp pipe would do - if it's the same dia as multiram pipe.
