Soundblaster Audigy problem
« on: 21 November 2011, 21:54:44 »

Rebuilding the childrens PC and I have fitted the old SB Audigy 2 sound card, however it is quiet and Windows keeps wanting to update drivers.

Can anyone remember the installation sequence?

Plug it in, let Windows do whatever it wants, install the drivers supplied by Creative, restart the PC, job done.

PS

Don't let WU supply the drivers, they don't work properly.

Uninstall WU drivers, install Creative ones.

I cannot remember what I did when I rebuilt when the MB failed, and I didn't bother when I resurrected for work, now the children have the PC trying to get everything working
