Sport Relief
« on: 14 March 2008, 22:28:57 »

Now there is a good chance that i will get flamed for this, but this is an open forum.

What the hell is sport relief about? is this another attempt at extracting more cash out of an already cash strapped country?

I have been watching parts of it tonight, appeals for money to support various causes within the UK and outside as well, and this got me thinking.....
Why is the government not supporting these causes/charities? why are the governments of the respective countries supporting these people, why is it down go a country that is being taxed to death by its own government?

I have nothing against good causes, some of them really need help, but do we have to listen to an entire evening of the likes of that patronising cow  Davina macall telling me that i will make a difference!!!

rant over, flame me if you wish.....freedom of speech and all that

It's cheap schedule filling material. Nothing makes me reach for the off button more than rubbish like that.

Judging by the lack of response to this we mostly think the same. :)

With you all the way - it's just watering down stuff like Childen In Need etc.  And half the money goes abroad.

Saw a bit of it - she wanted to see the Come Dancing bit - and its utter drivel.

Notice its only the BBC who do such programmes - the independent couldn't afford to lose that much advertising revenue.  Once again, it shows that the BBC are going for the Trailer Trash demographics, as I've said many times before  >:(
