guiness over here is nothing like it is in southern ireland 
in fact northern ireland guiness isnt as good as southern ireland 
if you talk to the locals they will tell you that guiness is a living culture and will not travel 
tunnie (darent ask) but how much is a pint of the black stuff now in dublin?  and i hope you didnt get stung in Templars bar    the drinks in there after a certain time go up in price every hour 
but you only realise the next morning due to the fact that people are usually well on the way to being, shall we say merry   
i was over there last year and the beer prices were expensive then 
but as you say lovely place and yup they talk to anyone 

Avoided the Tourist traps, had a local girl showing us around 

As to how much, err no idea. Don't remember drinks mega expensive compared to London. I got 2 pints of Guinness and a G&T in one place, was about 16EUR.

Think one at the airport was about 4EUR ish

Guiness for UK used to be brewed at Park Royal, London ... and an excellent place to visit it was  Closed in 2005 and production moved to St James Gate I believe

47 Sqn RAF had an affiliation with Guiness UK that involved a visit, a dinner and a presentation of the "Guiness Wings" to each new Squadron Commander.

Excellent hosts they were .... as you got off the bus the gentleman in charge would say .. "If there is anyone who actually wants to do the tour please let me know, for the rest of you the bar is that way ......."

break me! It's come down a little since 2009, then. They charged me almost that much for one pint and a Martini for Mrs. KW then.

Needless to say I didn't stay for a second, which is most unlike me.

Thats not the real stuff though. Wrong type of water.
Best I ever tasted was in an old country pub in County Kerry,dont know why but it was superb stuff.

S'funny you should say that Albs . We were over in Co Wexford last week and I noticed that the Guinness there tasted different than over here.
I've never tasted Guinness anywhere like it is down here , it's actually too easy to drink resembling more of a soft drink ..... well until your on your fourth.

Absolutely.I can close my eyes and still taste that Kerry guinness,and that was 15 years ago.I dont usually bother drinking it over here,tastes too bitter.

I worked Swansea-Cork ferries for ages and the Guinness tasted different from the UK stuff. I won't drink it over here but do like a pint or 4 when I get chance to go over

It shouldn't taste any different over here from the stuff they serve in Ireland as all Guinness in the UK is brewed in Ireland.

Mind you, I still reckon it tastes better over there.
