I have posted my problem but i have tried everything.  My Omega pull to the left or right very sharply when i break.  I have had wishbones changed, breaks changed, discs checked, brakes bled, suspension checked, sub-frame checked, tracking done & it has been in the garage on 4 different ocassions but they cant find anything wrong it  please please help

First thing, check everything is torqued correctly, esp if you didn't do it yourself.

Has the car been involved in a front end accident ?

hence pulling to left or right

might have sub frame damage

I take it you have gone back to basics .............. are front tyre pressures ok ?

Low pressure can cause her to pull during braking.

You probably have ...............but just in case you hadn't.

Good luck in finding what's ailing her.

Was the work done, then the problem started?
Or was the work done to fix the problem...?

Whats the precise order of events, as best you can anyway.

If the problem started after new wishbones fitted, first place to look is correct tightening of wishbone bolts. 120nm then angle tighten a further 30degrees then another 15 degrees with wheels loaded.
  If thats correct then what wishbones where fitted? And have the bushes failed early? Possibly due to incorrect wishbone bolt tightening with wheels hanging.

See how you go with that lot for now.

Any car can develop these symptoms....depending on the cause even new cars can play up.
A bent sub frame can be bent but not cause any issues at all.

Yes, much more likely to be uneven braking or something in the suspension "giving" under braking.

Be good to know if the work was done in an attempt to solve the issue, or before it occurred, as said.

Outside chance that it could be something at the back end too, although less likely.

Does it always pull in the same direction?

Hi all the work was done to try & rectify the problem but to no avail.  The car has never been in an accident since I have had it, going on 4 years now & it just started doing it one day. One day it was fine, the next it wasn't.  It is, as you can imagine, very scary when you brake & the car goes either sharply to the left or sharply to the right, depending what mood its in

mine did this i replaced both wishbones and cured it completely

Assuming all the work was done correctly the next thing I'd be looking at is the steering rack, in particular the steering idler and track rod ends.

Its a bit if a treck but your welcome to bring it round here, see if theres anything mechanicly wrong. But i bet the old favourites of wishbones tightened incorrectly with wheels hanging, and setting toe only, frogetting camber will contribute to tyre wear. They can then be very random in all conditions, then add in a few even minor faults and things get out of hand very quickly.

As Guffer says steering assembly needs checking, although play there should be farely obvious to a mechanic tbh, but you never know.
Anyway, offer is there of you need it.

Ps, in the interest of not introducing further faults, also check the guide and faq sections theres a handling guide that might help, and also the wishbone guide for correct fitting. They are not a straight swap item, they need to be fitted a certain way, or bushes fail early.
Although there may well be something else going on with this one.
