got my renewal and its more than doubled
theres nowt i can do about it cos ive had other quotes and there £300 plus more than my renewal,whats happening these days

Have you added any points or claims in the last year? or has it just gone up?

nothing has changed from last year,ive ranted down the phone and this year they will not budge

Across the 3 cars, mine went up about about £70, TBE was the one that was worse, up by £100.

last year £320,my renewal £783 .best quote ive got elsewhere is £1100

That does suck. I was doing loads of quotes in jan when i planned on getting a cheap to insure car to re start a 3rd lot of ncb id lost by having classic insurance for 2 years, then suddenly all the tax went up and the same cars all increased by about £100 a year, I ended up buying a fiat cinq sporting but after 6 months relised it was going to be 4 years before that policy would start dropping to a decent amount!

blimey, I thought i was payin a lot on my 2.2 £400! how many years ncb on that policy? mine is with 8 i think

9 years no claims,bugger is theres 6 of us and pram so a car wont do.i even had a qoute today for a grand voyager just to see and that was £1000.no point changing car cos the amount i lay out to buy one i might aswell just pay thr renewal

Anything you can add security wise to bring it down a bit? after the initial outlay atleast it should stay cheaper for a while.

its got a thatcham immobiliser,crook lock,cheepo alarm only the immob is recognised by them but the next time i ring them i might see if it makes a difference if i garage it

I would shop about more, my last renewal was for a Jaguar XJR V8 Supercharged which I think was group 20 the original quote was £670 from swiftcover but got it from Tesco in the end £380 when I swapped to the 3.2 Omega they gave me £20 back, 45 with full NCD no points claims etc. My daughter is 26 and has a Astra VXR insured for £490 with Adrian Flux

few years ago i had a 02 impreza wrx with a tracker on and it was pretty cheap to insure. It was fitted when i got the car so i have no idea how much fitting is, but it was worth the annual fee for the savings.

im with tesco and every year nobody can touch them in fact nobody can get anywhere close to them but this year they just will not budge,but they are still a lot cheaper than quotes ive had.adrian flux was £1200,aviva was £1400,halifax was £1231.i do it every year and get quotes but as said tesco are always a lot cheaper

trackers these days are so easy to fit,i fit them to caravans and its basically 2 wires and 2 plugs for the gps and gsm,probs a couple more wires for a car.its the buying them that costs but there is these which are cheap but not sure if theyre ins recognised and i havent heard any feednack on them yet
