Aye...

Today, got sent into the swamp that is known as 'your garage' and rescued the boxes that are Christmas in her/our house.

She thereafter spent an enjoyable (to her) evening dikking about with a fold up tree, errant electrics and broken baubles whilst listening to boak factor.

I played MW3 whilst she was erecting (oo err missus!!) her tree then played computer whilst the rest went on.

Long Live the Bah Humbugs!!   :y

I am looking forward to Christmas if people around me go with my system. Unfortunately all I see is the "land of the mindless" just off the A30 in Camberley where the car parks are full of people buying shit from probably the largest Tesco and M and S stores that we have.It is a sad indictment of our society that people go there for a day out. We do not need this crap to run our lives.

I live on the door step and do not go in at all.

My daughter's car needs servicing - I tell her to sort that out and do not buy me anything as I do not need it  or I will organise her car service as a present. I am guilty (apparently) of not entering into the spirit - but is it only me that sees Christmas UK style as one huge excuse to buy complete irrelelvant over-priced tat from second rate shopping outlets?

I really cannot stand the mentality of most on this. Kids stuff - I will suport to an extent but we should not bring them up in this shallow consumeristic way.

Just moved mother in law into her £1000 a week home and first words are "I wish I was dead" .... whats the f*****g point I say to myself?

onwards and upwards

Agreed entirely. Still, at least the car park at Frimley park was quiet yesterday when I went to visit my Grandmother-in-law who's a bit under the weather. Seems the christmas shopping mania trumps everything these days, sick loved ones included. :(

I'm looking forward to, but wasn't thus everytime. My parents were blood-proletars ergo I known almost nothing about the really meaning of Christmas. Just gifts - no more. Nowadays, since my daughter was born the celebration is getting more important. She is 1,5yrs old and there is a special shining in her eyes when tries to shape this word : "christmas tree" .  :y
