Oh the irony......
« on: 17 December 2011, 21:48:33 »

Politicians proselytising on social/religious issues in our society......are we really expected to take lessons in morals from the likes of they? ???

Be we of faith, or otherwise: people and communities matter........we are not and have never-been; 'islands' in a disparate archipelago of (Mrs. Thatcher`s) 'individuals'.....we share our society and world.

Heaven or hell (here on Earth)......it`s our choice. :-[

It would seem so ma'am as a disturbing number of individuals within these geographic islands appear to have lost the ability to think with any degree of objectivity thereby allowing such tripe to be trundled out unchallenged.

The population of this country – through the power of the ballot-box - has inherited a political class so incompetent, so self-serving, so far removed from reality and so arrogant that such utterances are considered to be justifiable and indeed necessary for the moral good of the nation.

We, as constituents of this nation, have indeed reaped that which we have so carelessly sown.

We should indeed, but the very technology lauded as being the saviour of mankind and the panacea to all ills is rapidly making us a nation of individuals - less inclined to interact on a face to face basis preferring instead to push buttons and converse in mono-syllables and hieroglyphics rather than use the full extent of this rich language we are so blessed with.
