Like Serek has said a Vectra engine needs to have the pump changed for an Omega one.

Also a 3.0 engine will also drop straight in as a swap. You will need to keep your ecu etc though.

I think it be better changing the car and scrapping the old car

think it would be cheaper than a fresh engine

You done no the origin of the replace engine

Might only last a month or so

Is it worth messing about with

There's a breaker just outside Gainsborough, which isn't far from you, who specialises in Omegas. Sadly mine went to him a few months ago and it was a 2.5 V6 CDX. If he hasn't still got the engine from mine he said he was collecting several a week, so he's bound to have another.

yeh, sold as seen mate, from side of the road

From a trader?

It's very tricky ground dealing with the Sale of Goods Act, but basically no trader can put "sold as seen" on a receipt. Well they can, but it has as much worth as me writing "anyone reading this post msut pay me £20".

Ah, never knew that. Not fussed about the car anyway tbh mate, i bought it knowing about the engine fault (after it faulting on test drive) and only paid scrap price anyway. Just got it to do up for a rally next year

Yeh, can see what ur sayin, and if i was using as my own personal car, i would, or strip and sell the bits.
But cuz its only gonna be used for a banger rally and maybe the odd run into town and blast around the airfield, it'll do for now!
Repaining the whole thing anyway!

I've just been down to see a senior member RobseyMV6 who lives in west Sussex. I think he had 2 or 3 2.6 engines in his garage he wants to sell
