Ah the old wiper debate. Not had this for a while. I have Gm blades currently. Got cought out after a long period with no rain, to find my bosch aero blade twins had finally given up after two years. So gm blades fitted on tc, as bosch aero blade twin wipers not sold at Halfords last i looked and i wasnt in a position to seek out a factors.
Anyway, compsarison
Bosch aero blade twin. Good sweep of the screen. Lasted two years ish. Good even pressure on the glass. But a bit of a thump as they change direction.
Arero blade style, rubbish. Noisy, rattly, cant cope with the screens curves. Lift in the slightest cross wind. Poor visibility.
Gm quitest of all, but still leave the odd blob of water if they lift, which they do suprisingly often. But the main thing against these is the springs. Each spring gives a pressure point, and over time these mark/scratch leave 5 or 6 tracks accross the screen, which in a low sun situstion is frankly dangerous, esp if on an old screen.
There will be those who comment "oh you havent changed your Gm blades often enough" not so. On previous brand new screens, spring tracks have appeared in 6 months.
Other gm style blades, all fairly hopeless tbh. Including Halfords own. Although i havent tried the them for years.
So ime... If fitting traditional style wipers fit Gm only and change them regular or they bugger the screen.
If fitting aeros, fit bosch only. Expensive but cheaper in the long run. Put up with the noise in favour of hood visibility.
But if your screens old and scratched anyway, who cares.

Alot of words for a simple subgect i fink, but there we are.
