I wonder what the outcome would have been if it been the other way round, and he called Terry a White whatever?

Trouble is we (the UK) have defined that offence is only required to be defined by the person who is offended so if the colour of his skin is mentioned, its defined as rasism 

I'd love somebody to actually try and define what rasism is 


Suarez has just been fined £40,000  and banned for 8 matches for racially abusing Evra.

A direct translation of what Suarez called him is ............... A small black man

Now I know this is going to sound stupid but he is black  hasn't he looked in a mirror, I am white so what. Why is it racist to refer to a persons colour. You don't hear of many Red Indians complaining.

A crime can be classed as a racial crime if the victim, or "any other person" views it as such. That can be a passer-by, the attending police officer, the calltaker... and it can be classed as a racial crime even if the victim specifically says "I don't think it was racial" - ie, someone vandalising a car at random.

Personally,I hope they throw the book at him.Its well known what he said,and he deserves whats coming imo.
It was an obviously racist insult,which he should be above shouting at a fellow professional. He,s a nasty arrogant piece of work by all accounts,so hopefully it will teach him a lesson.
