2.2 Petrol Auto Difficult starting
« on: 21 December 2011, 18:00:46 »

Car has been running great until the past 3 days when i've found it difficult to start and then runs very rough with a distinct lack of power at low revs & Emissions light has illuminated. Codes have been read, cleared & returned immediately. I know the codes appear to show the obvious fault, but I would appreciate any input from Members who know what they're talking about. The Crank Sensor was renewed earlier this year with a genuine GM part. Any help very much appreciated Chaps  :-*
Codes are as follows:

P1700 - SVS request via CAN
 (00) - Present

P0335 - Crankshaft Sensor Open Circuit
 (04) - Present

Clearly reporting its not happy with crank sensor...  ...that'll cause the SVS from TCM code as well.
