LEGO
« on: 22 December 2011, 19:04:34 »

hi all,

if any of you have any Lego in your lofts, or that your kids have grown out of that you want to sell, then let me know!

We buy Lego - the proper stuff, not cheap copies like Megabloks - and will buy anything from Duplo, Fabuland, Space, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc, etc.

If yours is in good condition (ie not sun faded, cracked, broken, or bitten), then let me know what you've got (if you can PM me some photos even better) and hopefully we can do business!  :)

Cheers,

Claire

Naff selling you any... once the house is finished I'll be buying some more! :D

I'm suddenly interested in these, but Woman has given me nought but a disapproving look when I mentioned them... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Modular_Houses

lol guys, well if you want to save yourself Ebay fees and the like, in bulk quantities, if its in good condition, and has some of the little people with it then its worth £8-£10 a kilo.

The old stuff isnt necessarily worth more then the more recent stuff, as the plastic was of a different quality and it often warps and loses its colour.

I've been collecting alot of the 1980's space stuff that was in the catalogues when I was kid that my parents couldnt afford to buy me - managed to pick up an LL928 (the big space cruiser) for £11, it was almost complete, but luckilly we had the parts to complete it.

My daughter is really into Duplo at the moment, have bought her loads for Christmas as its about the only thing she plays with   :)

I really wanted the new VW Camper for Xmas that they've brought out, but its hard to justify spending £80 on it, no matter how nice it is.

cheers,

Claire

I think its cheap.

If you consider 30 years ago the lego car chassis was a ton, now the same thing is about 80 quid!
