1)  Agreed.  But also, not a subject that must be hidden away in a dark corner as perhaps was done in previous generations.
2)  Nothing unlawful in that in the UK unless there is a restriction on reporting imposed by order of the Court.  It appears there is no such order in this particular case.
3)  Whilst I agree that there is little benefit in contunually posting on the thread and bringing it to the top of the front page yet again, it is no more than reporting a matter which is very close to the hearts of most people on here who have children.  As also said very early in the thread, this is not a witch hunt nor will it be tolerated to turn into one.  Due process through the Courts, however, will be keenly awaited.

i never wanted this to turn into a witch hunt but felt that children need to be protected & if by posting this they will be then i am happy

I dont think this has turned into a witch hunt at all, Everyone has been carefull with posting not to offend incase its not true or what they think, generaly a lot of restraint has been used, on a difficult subject. Members can make an informed decision on what to do in the interim, and if innocent im sure Lee would totaly understand.
I have to ask tho, this was your 1st post did you join just to make it known? or maybe a partner of a member? (im guessing you are local to welung)

It hasn't and it won't. 

But will add, please don't bump threads as happened earlier.  Like every subject thats reported in life, yesterdays news is tomorrows chip wrapper and sometimes - just sometimes - thats for the best.

If and when there is more news to report (such as after a hearing yet to come) then thats fine and dandy, once its in the public domain via news articles or similar.

Until then, heresay, conjecture and biased opinion are very much not welcome.....

Carefull Cem, its been said not to ask it or answer it, maybe it would cause the thread to go off on a tangent, where it should be staying focus'd just on the newspaper report for now, until after court and the outcome is printed again.

Exactly.   

It makes no difference to OOF where the OP originates from, be that a relative, next door neighbour or even someone with an axe to grind, come to that.  It is not our place to judge anyone or anything other than commenting on the articles on the original links.

To do anything else is, frankly, none of our business.  Its between the folks directly involved and the legal process.  That the assemblage of OOF 'MAY' have or could be involved as a result then it is shown purely as information and should only be considered as such and not disected into its minutae.

I found out my old scout leader did the same last yr.was a shock as he's been a family friend for 40yrs.it shocked me more cause he never did anything to us so nobody knew. but it was just pictures luckily and no abuse but he's never been seen or heard of since. its a dam shame this happens to people you know,more so for children and families involved. but until its proven in court  wrong accusations and gossip can lead to devastating consequences.

Abuse doesn't have to be physical Richie, the kids in the pics found on his computer will be f***ed up for life mentally just by being made to pose for them.

As far as Lee goes, I'll assume that his case has been dealt with as he was posting here only one week ago and part of his bail conditions were that he wasn't allowed on the net for anything other than looking for employment.

Assume nothing other than what is available in the articles.  That way, there is no misenterpretation.

That is the wording in the report, not necessarily the actual bail wording, which I would hope would be crystal clear ?
