 I think we should all be neutral and let the law proceed.

I will say this however...as this fella is 'one of our own' I notice that the comments are less than when this situation has happened to others in society. Knives have been drawn and ropes thrown over branches from the outset, even before proven guilty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's for the judicial system to sort out now. Not anyone else, no matter what/how they feel.

I suspect the reaction has been subdued due to the shock of the allegations, and it seems many local members know him.

I cannot comment if there is any believability in the story, as I don't really know him, think I met him briefly at Newent one year. Clearly the police provided enough evidence to be passed on to magistrates who decided it was too serious for them to deal.

I found out my old scout leader did the same last yr.was a shock as he's been a family friend for 40yrs.it shocked me more cause he never did anything to us so nobody knew. but it was just pictures luckily and no abuse but he's never been seen or heard of since. its a dam shame this happens to people you know,more so for children and families involved. but until its proven in court  wrong accusations and gossip can lead to devastating consequences.

Although the age of consent is 16yrs, the law doesn't class a person as an "adult" til they're 18yrs....iirc?
