Sorry if I missed it, but are there any prospective dates at this point?

Not at the minute mate but if you want to put the dates you can make it I will start the ball rolling

No mate I'm just curious at the minute. Coming across the pond needs planning, etc. plus there are some jobs need doing!! If it's early July like 2011 it may not suit, so I'll watch this space! There's always newest too I suppose if that goes ahead. Would be nice to get across to a meet, so we'll see how it goes?
Cheers  :y

Like someone has already mentioned it is quiet difficult to get somewhere that will take groups, plus allow you to work on your cars...
Maybe less trouble to go back same place..... They do however stress me out chasing for the bloody money ???

Don't forget to take a spare 'Mains Hook Up cable'     :-X :-X

If nobody has any objections, Sophie and I are considering attending one of the big meets this year? If it's right up north - so be it! :y

Why would anyone object? Everyone is welcome to come. :y

Wondering if you will stay longer at this one?  :D

Hush you cheeky basket! :y

I didn't really mean if anyone would object, moreso if there'd be pitches available, etc...

I've not seen so many of OOF for so long...  :'(

Well as you know I put a thread up in the Meetings Section when I have organised it. You will then see how many people are actually going as I add their names to the list, when and only when they have sent a cheque deposit to hold there pitch to me.
There is no booking through the site unless staying far longer than the OOF Weekend.

The site was fine last year. True the midgie bastids were horrific and it was a bit of a slog up to the facilities, but it did have running water, and the shop always had milk and bacon. :y

Would perhaps prefer somewhere next to some water in an ideal world, however happy to go with the flow :y, and like you've said Daz, not everyone is as enamoured by the the prospect of 30+ middleaged ale drinking Omega driverspeeps taking over for a long weekend of car repairs ::)

If nowt else, I'll be grateful for 5 days holiday this year :P

Have car, will travel :y

Hmmm, too close to call in the poll I guess?

Doesnt look like too many would be massively upset if we tried another site? Going by comments....? What do we need? Camping, statics, amenities and a view... And possibly some hard standing.  :-\

There's also making life easier for the organiser to consider Daz...? Bloke was a bit Odd to deal with last time iirc?

IIRC the old boy was a bit 'different' ::). So if any one knows of a lake side industrial estate with a nice flat field next door and hot/cold running water and toilets we should be on to summat. :D Just need the dates so I can prebook the recovery truck :-X

Wasn't there talk of having two Newent meets this year as it's a superb site, we're always welcomed back and there's a good area for car work. Fairly easy for people from either the north or south, although bit of a trek from Scotland.

Personally two Newent Meets would be brilliant, we are very welcome at the site, owner is great and no trouble. Lots to do around the area, but we have a few members who then need to travel starship miles  ???
If anyone knows of a good site they have either heard of or may have visited then let us know :y

TBH, Newent is 100 miles closer to us (although I would visit my mum on the way to the Lakes) and if we can only make one meet this year it will be Newent.
