I'm not sure, to be honest. There could be something to it. However, I have to say that many of the ex-Yugoslavs I have met are very superstitious and amongst the most gullible conspiracy theorists (present company excluded, that is!!  ;) ;D).

The other thing I note is that in many of the comments I have seen, both on YouTube and elsewhere, Yugoslav patriotism has suddenly reared its head - despite the bloody wars that pulled it apart leaving, to many at the time, a better arrangement of independent nation states. Perhaps they will all start yearning for a new Marshall Tito now!  ;) ;D

Mind you, I have always been of the belief that, had Yugoslavia remained as a unit, it would have entered the millennium as one of the strongest countries in Europe, if not the world. Collectively, it had a skilled, competitive, workforce, excellent agricultural lands in the South and substantial reserves of raw materials.

Still, it's history now.  ;)

I saw a short documentary film in what the life of so-called "oil eaters" was shown. They are small animals look like mouse and represents the newest generation of Darwin's evolution being able to eat oil and other petrochemicals. The film was absolutely persuading a lot of scientists spoken in that but despite all of that it was just a fiction the filmmakers admitted in the end of film. Space program in former Yugoslavia ? Hm...
