My 2.5 V6 has a Prins multi sequential system which has been taking longer and longer to switch over from petrol. 

It usually switches after about a mile from cold, but yesterday it was 25 miles before it switched, although it was as cold as a witches whatnot..    It also randomly switches back to petrol now and again.....

The engine itself runs fine apart from a slight misfire if I floor it from tickover.  I squirted abit of WD40 in the ICV the otherday which improved it, so a proper clean hopefully will cure that?   Not sure if that will affect the LPG?

Sounds like poor coolant feed to the vapouriser to me.
Has it been plumbed into the throttle body coolant feed, by any chance?

Don't think so.....    Although I don't know much about the LPG system and it's componants.....

Is the temp gauge getting up to normal readings(90 ish) because if the motor's running cool that will delay switchover

Another option is that the vapouriser has been plumbed into the heater bypass hose and, given that it's 'kin cold at the moment, that's not seeing any flow.

And I've seen BRC systems plumbed both ways

The motor is warming up normally and the switchover delay is a recent development.  So I'm not sure it's a plumbing issue as its always worked fine.  

I did have it serviced a couple of years ago by the local(ish) Prins dealer, but that ain't cheap!!

Other options are a knackered vapouriser temperature sensor or a wiring problem, or possibly it's dropping out due to something else, such as low vapour pressure.

Not that easy to fault find much further without being able to see how it's plumbed and/or connect to the ECU and see what the live data says.

Does the vapouriser feel hot (i.e. too hot to touch) once it's been running on LPG for a while?

Another thing to check, if it's plumbed in series with the heater matrix is that the matrix isn't clogged. Does the heater work OK?

Does turning the heater off have any effect on the LPG behaviour?

OK Thanks Kevin, I'll have a look tomorrow and will keep you posted. 

It's probably 20k or so since the dealer serviced it.  Might it just need servicing? new filters? recalibrating?

shame you not closer as i got same sytem on mine, could of put side by side and worked out a soulution
