OK, as well as the Elite Estate, I also own an Omega A 2.6 CDXi Estate. This is the car I took over to Spain just over 4 years ago. She dried out properly and I was in the process of getting her stripped down and ready for body repairs and a full respray.
However, events took a turn for the worse when I was rear ended at a pedestrian crossing.
I have had an estimate for repair sent to her insurers, but I am not hopeful of a payout for that, I think they will only give me the book value of the car (not that much over here!), to cut a long story short, I have started collecting the parts I need over in the UK, to which I have a 1/2 Carlton estate back end made into a trailer plus a good drivers side rear door in Durham, a good tailgate and two front doors in the midlands. I have asked on ABS and TC for a good passenger side rear door, then I have everything I need for the repairs.
I have been in touch with one of those part load lorry drivers that do regular trips to and from Spain and he has said no bother getting the trailer over here.
What I am asking for is a little logistical help if at all possible. I would like to get the trailer along with the rest of the parts down to Dartford where Murph, a member on here, ABS and TC has the storage space for said items. That way the man with the lorry can get everything picked up in one go and save me a few pennies, apparently his base is in Waltham Abbey, not a million miles away from Dartford.
As you can imagine, I have asked this same question over on ABS and TC but the more the merrier I always say.
So, does anyone think they can help out getting things moved around? Please?
