HI All, help needed here,got a sky hd box today,got that up and working but the remote will not operate the tv side of things.
the code for my sony bravia tv should be 0000 but the remote ill not accept it,phone sky tech dept,all of their solutions were useless.
All replys welcome,pulling my hair out now,if it don't work they can have it back.

ps a lot better picture on this box than the sky + one.

There are very often more than several codes that work for any given tv.

Google your issue and codes for your model tv. It's all there. And I doubt 0000 will work with any tv tbh.

Should be able to code it to operate a home cinema for volume as well.

Thanks to all who advised me,all sorted now the code was 0533. I must say that this HD box is a vast improvement on the sky + one.

Is it a 1TB one?

I had a standard HD box, then got a 1Tb as part of staff trial. Was watching BBC1 HD, swapped it out, put new one in, again quite an improvement in picture. Looked a lot "crisper"

Was odd, but direct swap out, just minutes between seeing same picture again. FatherT commented as well, its a newer box design, in house this time, rather than contract built.

Better decoder maybe? I used same cables, just box swapped.

Hi all,sorted the rf2 problem,why do they have to make everything so bloodly difficult for knobs like me.
Anyhow with that said,another problem has raised it's ugly head.My broadband  speed has dropped to around 3meg from 7.5meg,spend around 30 mins yesterday talking to some guy in india,who blew a lot of smoke about,suggesting everything on their side was fine,and that it must be to do with the sockets etc at home.
I let you all know what happened when that headache is sorted.
