Does the door light switch earth thru the retaining screw?If not where?

Yes it does.
When removed you should find one wire connected to the back which is the pos.

Yes it does.
When removed you should find one wire connected to the back which is the pos.

Yes the screw does connect a wire to earth, but it's not a positive ........... that'd pop a fuse every time the door was opened. The wire is the earth from the light(s).
It also depends which door switch as to how many wires there are, driver's door has 2 wires, others have just one.  :y
