It is sad & I do mean it, but I don't have any sympathy for the likes of her as they have the world at their feet, she was so so talented & beautiful had bundles of cash so no worries like the rest of us have, she could do what ever her heart desired & when ever she wanted to, but instead she snorts charlie smokes crack & god knows what else.
I keep hearing on the TV & radio that people turn to drugs as they hate their lives no job or prospects even no roof over their heads but she didn't fall in to any of those, & if her life was so bad then quit don't tour or record just sit back & enjoy your what she worked so hard for in the first place.

Rant over :D

Died aged 48. Too young to go,and although not my type of music, undeniably a very big talent which was wasted by drug misuse in later years. Whatever the circumstances, a terrible shame. :(

 :o :o :( :(

I think for people from my generation, like her music or not, she was part of those impressionable mid/late teenage years.

Personally I couldn't stand the women. No sympathy here, you make your bed, you lie on it.

Amy Winehouse,Whitney Houston ...i can see it being a tough year for columbia  ;)

Karl, your a bad man  ;D ;D ;D

I wondered why the radio was playing all her stuff again  ::)

Oh well, another one who couldn't handle life without sticking something up her nose or down her throat  :(

Shame she's gone.
She really made her mark in the mid 80's when I was on the prowl round the disco's of the day.

One hell of a voice she had but was sadly looseing it over the past few years  :(

Oh well, thats Amy Winehouse now Whitney.

Who's next ?

Exceptional talent and one of the best voices I've ever heard, another wasted life, in the most dangerous profession in the world. RIP Whitney.  :(

Sad loss indeed. Unfortunately I think she fell under the bad influence of Bobby Brown and has been on a slippery slope ever since - such a shame.

Quite so FF - but then such news is quite rightly buried deep on the inside pages to make room for that of the demise of such a lauded celebrity.

The scenes of apparent grief displayed by the great and the good at the recent Grammy bash (always a splendid display of intense self-regard by the assembled 'right-on' luminaries) were indulgent, bordering on the obscene.

Agreed Den, couldn't stand her myself, but a huge talent whatever I think. Bit late for the celebs to be jumping on the bandwagon now
