Hi guys,

Had a look on the forum and found a guide in the maintenance section but didn't really answer my question. I want to remove the black aluminium?? strip around the sunroof (as you look at the car from the outside) The paint has started to bubble and I want to bring it in the garage to paint it. warmer 

Any advice as to whether this is possible would be appreciated.

you will need to remove the roof lining, then you will see the securing bolts, make sure you do all this with the sun roof open, makes it a bit easyer. there maybe a bit more as it was along time since I did mine. takes a long time to do.

The ally 'strip' around the sunroof is part & parcel of the sunroof itself ie it's bonded directly to the glass & doesn't come off.  Best bet is to remove the complete sunroof & paint it. 
You could use mine to practice your painting skills.
