need to know colour code on the daughter's astra....      as yet log book has not arrived...  (going to chase that up tomorrow )


got reg number and chassis number if anyone can look it up using them.....



she's reversed in to a small tree.....    needs a new tailgate as she's creased the back lip on the boot lid....    not huge , but sharp,  and multi-dimensional....  sort of thing.... unlikely to get knocked out easily..... so a second hand tailgate seems the quickest easiest and cheapest answer.


thus needing to know the colour code....      to get a match of the bay of flea

Colour code should be bottom left of vin plate

(the VIN tag under the windscreen is present,  and matches the V5 new owner slip i have , so i'm not T~OO worried.... but the plate i expected to find on the front slam panel under the front lip of the bonnet is missing.....   which is starting to bother me.....  it's clear where it should be,  there's a rectangular recess with holes in little round sections  clearly meant for riveting....   and there's no sign of any tool marks of something used to remove one.....      so maybe the car has been front ended..... and the slam panel replaced,   although there are no other signs of it....  no wrinkles anywhere on the chassis or body,  no newer paint areas, and no creases in it ...

it is a sticker that it is on not riveted, open drivers door and look to the right of the recess

sticker on driver side door B pillar (to lower left of the opening as you open the door from outside.  facing the car.... )

 you asked if it was where you said it was,  so i said where i found it.....  i know "he'd" sorted it now.....    for "he" was me.....   it was me asking the question in the first place.......   

PS...   not to the right of recess , as you suggested, but to the left.   this is why i clarified where i found it.....
