Bushes omega estate
« on: 27 February 2012, 19:47:49 »

Hi all,

im thinking of changing all the bushes on my 1999 mv6 estate ive been looking on ebay but theres so many diff types i can get powerflex front wishbone polybushes & front anti roll bar bushes but only 2 centers,

can anybody tell me how many bushes are on all the suspension components?? also inc the rear diff mountings??

there was an old thread on here about somone sorting a full kit front & rear but has anybody found one??  :-\

& how much am i looking at?? & where can i get them all from??? powerflex fronts for 4 bushes £69.00...

car is starting to feel a bit saggy & wonders a little now ive gone from the 225 60 15s to 245 40 17s as the old tyres took up most of the bumps on roads, my o/s front wishbone buggered so going to do both & do bushes same time  :y

Saggy up and down is predominantly worn suspension.

When the car starts deflecting round bumps and road imperfections, that's usually bushes PROVIDED tyres, pressures, and other components are up to scratch.

And that means no Falkens fitted ime.

I think you've seen the
Polly thread...? \/

From the front back;
Anti roll bar x2   (polly available)
Front wishbone bush x2 (polly available)
Rearward wishbone bush x2 (possible future polly)
Top shock mounts x2 (polly proved unsuccessful on other models)

Rear donuts x2.  (possible future polly)
Rear trailing arm bushes x4. (probably next future polly)
Rear dif to subframe x2. These never fail, pig to replace apparently.
Rear arb bush x2
Rear drop link eyelets x4
Diff blocks, Subframe to chassis x2 (polly unlikely)
Rear top shock mounts (probably not worth bothering with)
Bottom shock eyelet (ditto)
