Exactly what I was thinking, Dave, but apparently the offer of a free upgrade from 7 to 10 has expired - missed it by a year!  :(

Ron.
And even if you claim you have accessibility issues, that free upgrade has ended.

The Acer is a piece of crap, but probably less crap than before.  I don't believe in portioning disks on Windows clients, so would convert it all back to one big C:.  That said, I'd rip out the drive and shove an SSD in. Life is too short to wait for old disks.

I would rather have an E class petrol hybrid estate, and he wants an SUV, and fancies the F-Pace, but is it any good? :-\
I know what I'd have out of those 2. But then I know what I'd have if the choice was between (any modern) Merc and a Skoda.

It seems the F-pace has no real common issues, but still early days.  IS this purely a road car, or doesn't it need to go properly off-road?

Though DTM can best answer what it like to live with, I'm sure he'll respond in a day or 2...

When was the last time you saw a proper traffic cop?
Frequently. In my mirrors. For miles.

:(

Mislaid it.  Its big and black, and normally stands out.

Got until lunchtime to find it. *sigh*.

Can't imagine paying over 500 a month for a car, never paid that much for a house !
I think they are coming up with 40yr mortgages now, to try to keep monthly repayments under 2k per month ;)

200 a tyre? What size?
275/35/20

On the Omega, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 are in a different league to Conti SC3, Conti SC5 (utter shite, wet or dry), Goodyear F1 (mediocre, but fragile), Uniroyal RS3 (Mediocre), Dunlop RT/RT2 (OK, but knackered at 3.5mm), Nexen N6000 (nice ride, poor grip), Kumho KU31 (good grip, but no feedback), Avon ZV3/ZV5 (mediocre), any of the budgets (universally crap), and any other tyre I've tried on my Omegas, with the exception of SportMaxx TT's

And I'll back that up with the fact I have put 4 on my last remaining Omega this year, including a couple about 6 weeks ago, at an average cost of 140 each (245/40/18)

Ignoring AV, Microsoft products only get updated monthly  :-\

Defo not every day.

If all your neighbous used the same WiFi channel then regardless of your setup you could have a very slow connection.
But infinitely better than if they put on an adjacent channel.  2 on a co-op channel works, 2 on overlapping channels does work well at all.

The wealthy are less worried by large debt than the the poor are worried by small debt. :)
That means I'm really poor then

Plus I was already at Costco and they were doing PS4s for 103 corner, with 20 vouchers back for each 2 fitted.
Not in 275/35/20 they ain't :(

In fact the quotes I got from Costco weren't competitive, which I was slightly surprised at.

Nope, this was standard Omega 17s. Given Kumhos were ~76 corner. Thought PS4s good value.
I rate the PS4 on the Omega. Not the quietest, but decent grip.  But like any soft tyre, you won't be getting 100,000 miles out of a set.

I like them enough to just buy a pair a 275/35/20 and a pot of Vaseline to reduce the damage to my backside.

All the 100bhp ones are Y20DTH ;). But there are 2 different variants.

Do Halfords still do service parts like filters? Thought they had stopped.

Just 100 ponies  :o :o :o

Don't think I could ever drive something with so few horses under the bonnet.  ;D ;D  :P :P

Given how old it is, could have lost a few and have around 90!  :o
Mine has lost many, many horses

....
I heard that some factories were offline for maintenance, and another one(s) suffered a problem causing a long shutdown, so only 1 or 2 factories left producing in Europe currently.

wasn't that cause of the shortage of CO2  :-\
Yup, similar scenario, only the CO2 was more recent.

one of these old heaps will be so incontinent that insisting on long-life coolant is a bit pointless ;D

If it's got red in it, then use that. Mine came with blue, and that's what I use in it.
I use red, just so I only have to change it every 3 years on so, rather than annually.  Cost is about the same, and the effort is the same, and I'm a lazy bastid :D
