IIRC 6.5 front         5.25 rear

Thanks, I know Vaux are usually 6.5 all round but it saved me taking the door cards off.

You do need Tech 1 to prog new I.R. remote but security code is not needed IIR. Early Vectra B with seperate key fob remote could be programmed without code too.

Its definately ir locking i have a fob with a chip in but obv its not programmed.

I know my first omega on the same year was infared because the pickup was near the sunroof motor.

Whats this car pass? heard it before but unsure?

its a small card, that should be in the booklet wallet it contains your car stereo code/details, VIN, key code/type, other details etc..  :y

found a tiny boom that was it. no card :(

This has been bothering me for a while now.

I have 2 keys to operate my Omega.
The old early round key for the doors. (I have to manually put this in the lock)
And a later Horse shoe type for the ignition barrel.

This was how I got it so I don't know what the hell happened.

The question is, I have several blank keys and fobs with a chip in. is there ANY way I can get these programmed so I can unlock the car remotely. I'm not bothered about needing a different key for the ignition. I'm just fed up of having to put the key in the door.

Thanks in advance

I had exactly the same problem not long ago with one of them. I took it to my mate whos built like a house and he hammered a bihex socket and and gave it some with a strongarm.

sell the car and buy  a v6 manual.. there are many nice cars in the sale section..  and please dont try with good brand tires.. :y

my rear tyres were £220 a pop  :( Sometimes the temptation kicks in and oh she goes.

However if I wanted to be a herbert all night on McDonalds car park I have 2 spare wheels at home with bald tyres lol

As above why? If thats what you want to do you have the wrong combo of engine and box

a 3.0 manual however.  ::)

I have bridgestones on the back of mine. Expensive but very good. the front ones are some cheap crap (nexen) but plenty of tread so didn't see the point replacing yet.
