15/40 Oil
« on: 30 April 2010, 18:38:36 »

Been given a bottle of 15/40 by mistake from my local dealer on 4 for 3 offer, funny that cause at the time she said the system would only let her sell 3, but we had 4...

Not till i got home and realised it  :(

Can i use 15/40 in my 2.2? Or is it worth going back for 10/40  :-/

rereading my post....

Your oil is not on the recommended list, but is on the permissible list....

So doesnt sound like its gonna do any harm...

looking on services oil change intervals (which some  friends follow like a holy book even though I warned them many times) 15-20K kms   on brand new cars  :-?  ,  I can say thats mud not oil ..

now apparently a clean 15-40 will do the job but will be slightly thicker on startup ..
