This thread reminds me. I really must start trying to investigate why the hateful lump of plastic french shite, will not under any circumstances start when the engine is hot.  :(

Any fault codes, ie low rail pressure ?

This is a different issue to the lack of working glowplugs ;D

When parked uphill overnight, it tends to die a few seconds after starting, and makes it a right pig to start again.  Parked downhill, its much better :).

I'm thinking leak off pipes, but a quick glance, the *look* ok.  Would I see diesel around them if they leaked?

Turn it round and park it downhill overnight. ::) :-X

No codes present. Did have a FPR code but thats gone since I changed the fuel filter, as has its tendency to throw up the stop engine light and go into limp mode after 5 minutes at motorway speed.
I changed the cambelt not long ago, so shall revisit that and check timing first - then burn the little bastid.  ;D

Did this behaviour start with the filter change ?

Is the filter housing cracked?
